Obituary of Willie Allen Lee Chee

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Willie Allen Lee Chee at the Stamford Hospital on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 12:42 pm.  Allen was in his 86th year when he took his last breath.

Beloved husband and best friend of over 65 years, of  Gloria Lee Chee.  Loving father of Janice Peterson Svedeus (James), Ann Williamson (Brett), Marcia Dinella (Joe), Raymond Lee Chee (Kim) and Gary Lee Chee. He was the proud grandfather to Matthew & Joshua, Alana, Derrick, Jeremy and Jason, Brian and Brandon, and a proud great-grandpa to Tia, Nyla Rose, Landon, Noah, Aiden, Greyson, Isaac and Ryslee.

He was the son of the late William Lee Chee and May Lee Chee (Chew) .  Allen will be sadly missed by his sisters Gwendolyn Lee and Claire Kong.  Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members in the US, Canada, England and Jamaica.

He was a kind gentleman of few words that inspired many, who held the highest integrity in both business and family life. He loved travelling with Gloria and his kids, and was always up for a long walk whether or not there was a destination when we set out. An evening with his loved ones, entailing succulent, spicy dishes and the best in rock steady and reggae would have him smiling his knowing grin and on his feet dancing up a storm with the love of his life.

Allen, was above all proud and honoured to be the patriarch, father, grandfather and great-grandfather to our large, globe-sprawling family. He has been a major presence in the lives of his children and grandchildren. We are not saying goodbye, just inna di morrows.

Family and friends may pay their respects at www.gallagherfuneralhome.com.   A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 23, 2021 at 4pm by Zoom.

For those who wish, donations in memory of Allen may be made to a charity of your choice.
