Kevin and family. Our thoughts are with you. We both know how difficult the loss of a beloved parent is. But your father led a full and fruitful life. It has had an impact on each of you. Dan could tell that when Kevin spoke of him — always with humor, affection, admiration and love. You will think of him every day. That will only grow over time. His memory will help you constantly. All our best. Judy and Dan

John was a longtime and dear friend and a very special person. He loved Stamford and served the city well, both as an educator and as a member of the Board of Representatives. As a young man, just out of high school, John also served as a radioman in the Navy John was also a devoted family man, always anxious to get home to his beloved wife Louise after a tennis game at the Italian Center which was a big part of his life for almost a half century. His lively wit and sense of humor will be sorely missed by his tennis and platform tennis playing friends and his many other friends. We who knew him very long will miss John dearly as will family members and other friends.

As a student at SHS, Mr. Nolan never failed to have kind words of encouragement to students. Always smiling and always a gentleman. Our family keeps yours in our prayers. We are so sorry for your loss.

Louise,Kerry,Kevin,and Kendra
He was my uncle and I loved him.
I listened to his Friday night park and recreation meeting radio broadcasts when I was 12. He drove me around in his Chevy Corvair. He loved that car! He took me to my first Yankee game. He took me to my first Ranger game. He and Louise would visit us early on Saturday nights and we would play the hockey board game endlessly. The competition was fierce. He took me to a Stamford vs Rippowam football game where he said "watch this guy,his name is Bobby Valentine and he will probably run back this kickoff all the way". And he did. At my opening night DHS at Stamford HS basketball game a team brawl broke out with students from the bleachers involved as well. He was down on the court in the middle of it trying to break it up.
These are just some of the memories I have of him.
I am so sorry for all of you that he is gone
