Dear Jane & Family,
I just read of Jack's passing, as I was going through my newspapers. I'm saddened by his loss and extend my deepest sympathy to all of you. But I am glad to have met him through Business Machine Services, when he would come to the Darien United Methodist Church to service our old folding machine. He always brightened my day, as we would discuss cultural events, mostly musical, and would tell me stories of places of travel -- something we both enjoyed. May he rest in God's peace.

“More and more, when I single out the person out who inspired me most, I go back to my grandfather.”
— James Earl Jones
I will always remember the chess games my grandpa and I used to play. He would win everytime but he would always help me understand what I did wrong and how to do it better. My grandpa was a kind and loving person who loved God and his family. He always worked hard and always put up with me when I was annoying. I will always remember what my grandpa did for me and his country. I love you grandpa and I will always love you.

He was the greatest grandpa a girl could have. I love you grandpa.
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:1-6

May the road rise up to meet you.
The wind be always at your back.
The sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Rest in Peace, Jack.
