Obituary of Renee Oster

~~OSTER, Renee L, passed away on Thursday, August 3 at her home in Stamford, CT at the age of 100.  She was predeceased by her loving husband Samuel and is survived by her daughters Eileen (Harold) and Phyllis (David), her adored grandchildren Jodi (Kevin), Jason, Wendy (Michael), Alyssa (Rob) and Zachary (Rissa), and her loved beyond loved great grandchildren Cayla, Jake, Janie, Ella, Avery, Sienna and Justin.
 
Growing up as a Coney Island native in an era of the Depression and one room school houses, she graduated from Lincoln High School, a strong woman who loved knowledge and talking about it. It was essential to her that through love and sage advice, she taught her daughters to be strong and independent and to make an impact with their lives.  Not to be ignored was her instilling in them a love for Mah Jong and Canasta, the beach and long walks.  
 
We will all miss her love and friendship, advice and guidance, sense of humor, generosity, and her passion for life and living it. We listened and we learned, her memories will always live with us and be a presence in the things we do.
