Obituary of Richard J. Riordan

Richard J. Riordan of Stamford, Ct passed away peacefully on his 80th birthday while surrounded by his loving family.  Mr. Riordan had a passion for travel and enjoyed riding coal and steam trains throughout New England. He loved stock car racing at the Danbury Race Track.   Richard was a devoted Roman Catholic and a 40-year parishioner at St Cecilia Church in Stamford.

He is survived by his daughter Kimberly Riordan-Vermeulen, Two grandchildren:  Rose & William Vermeulen.  Also survived by Dolores Riordan.

Visitation will be held prior to the mass on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 9 am- 10 am at The Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home 104 Myrtle Ave Stamford, CT (203)-359-9999.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday October 21, at St Cecilia Church 1184 Newfield Ave Stamford. The Interment will follow at St John Cemetery Darien, CT.
