Obituary of Phyllis Barbara Bellantoni

A Lifelong resident of Stamford, Phyllis was born on December 4, 1947, to Louis and Anna (DiMuro) DeBrisco. She passed away peacefully at age 73 on Saturday, October 16, at Long Ridge Care Center. Despite being diagnosed with Polio at the age of 7, this did not stop Phyllis from having a fulfilling life. Phyllis graduated from Stamford High School in 1965. Her love for playing the piano led her to pursue a degree in Music at the University of Bridgeport. For 33 years, she worked in the Human Resources Department for the City of Stamford. Phyllis was an avid Yankee fan and UConn Woman’s basketball fan. She especially loved spending quality time with her family. Phyllis was happily married to Frank Bellantoni for 41 years. Besides her loving husband, Phyllis is survived by her brother Andy DeBrisco (Susan), nephew Christopher DeBrisco, and nieces Katie and Jackie DeBrisco. She is also survived by her aunt, Angie Piersanti, along with many cousins who will miss her greatly. Special thanks to Caring People of Connecticut, especially her caring aid Alberta, who took the time to care for Phyllis over the last few years. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association. Family and friends may call at the Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue Stamford, CT on Sunday, October 24th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 25th at 10:30 at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave Stamford, CT.
