Obituary of Jimmy James Louis

Jimmy James Louis was born on June 5th, 1978 at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, to Myrtha Bastien and Auguste Louis. Jimmy was the eldest and the only son among the three children ( Melissa & Michaelovena).

Jimmy was a humble, caring, compassionate and very loving person. Jimmy was a lost soul who was slowly finding his way back to his family. He was known for his jovial and fun personality. He was very passionate about drawing and was actually very good at it. He loved to talk and always on a positive note. He liked having in-depth conversations with family and friends for hours and it felt like minutes. His favorite word and phrase were “ wreh “ and “ One day it will all make sense”. His dream was for one day to have all his children to come together.

Jimmy resided in Brooklyn in his younger days, then Harlem and later on relocated with his family to Connecticut. Jimmy impacted many lives in his 43 years.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Vilma ( Lucky) Rodas-Louis, his grandfather who is 100 years, Josephus Bastien, his mother Myrtha Bastien, his father Auguste Louis, his siblings Melissa and Michaelovena. Jimmy’s seven children; Marquez, Jamari, DeAndre, James, Jordan, Ines, Jelani and a grand-daughter Sophia. He also left behind two step children Sean Perry and DeAndre Rodas as well as a hosts of aunties, uncles, nieces, cousins and friends whom he loved and adored.

A vibrant life full of potential and possibilities was taken from us too soon. He was deeply loved and will truly be missed. His memory will live on through his kids, grandchild and all of you here today.
