Obituary of Edward Joseph Bryant

Edward J. Bryant (EJ, EdB, EddyB), 56, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, July 14th. He was born in Stamford and was a lifelong resident.

For over 20 years, Ed was a Master Pool Technician, but as a result of a debilitating work injury ten years ago, he was unable to continue working as he suffered from Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Despite this, he put on a brave face for friends and family.

Ed recently suffered a mild stroke and congestive heart failure. Throughout this time, he continued to exhibit a positive outlook toward life and his recovery with the support of his family and special friends.

Before his injury, Ed enjoyed outdoor activities including fishing, hiking and hunting. He also enjoyed cooking, gun collecting, motorcycling, and driving cars - fast.

Ed is survived by his father and stepmother, Edward and Martha Bryant, brother Robert, sister Beth Dube, identical twin brother Doug and sister-inlaw Lynda, and sister Susan Bryant. He held a special place in his heart for all his nieces, nephews, grandniece and grandnephew, and in particular his beloved dog Tigger.

He was preceded in death by his mother Barbara A. Hajdu, brother-in-law Richard A. Dube Sr., and nephew Richard A. Dube Jr.
