Obituary of Giovanni Frattaroli

Giovanni Frattaroli, 93, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 12, 2021. He was born in Settefrati, Italy on August 20, 1927 to the late Nicola and Domenica Frattaroli.

On May 1, 1949, Giovanni married the love of his life, Lucia Tamburro Frattaroli, and they enjoyed a loving 72-year marriage. The marriage produced 3 children and 3 grandchildren who were his pride and joy.

Giovanni immigrated to Stamford in 1956. His wife and 2 eldest children joined him in the early 1960’s. He worked many years for F.D. Rich and the City of Stamford. He was also a painter, landscaper, and best TV antenna installer around. Giovanni would do any job that could bring a dollar home to the family.

Giovanni embraced the Italian culture with his love for Italian soccer, making homemade wine and cured meats, and gardening - he knew how to grow the best tomatoes. His greatest joy was his 3 grandchildren who he loved and adored.

Besides his wife, Giovanni is survived by his sons, Annunziato of Terryville, and John and his wife Marion of Stamford, as well as his grandchildren Isabella, Nicholas, and John. He is also survived by several brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Giovanni was predeceased by his daughter, Maria Frattaroli. He was also predeceased by his sister Maria Pompa, and brothers Constantino, Michael, and Antonio Frattaroli.

GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford (203)- 359-9999 on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m, Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave, Stamford. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 399 North Street, Greenwich. `
