Obituary of Matvey Grinman

Matvey Grinman, 90, passed away on Sunday, April 18th, 2021, with his family by his side. 

Matvey was born on August 17th, 1930 in Moscow, Russia. In Moscow, he was an electrical engineer who excelled in his career. At his job is where he met his beautiful wife of 65 years. They had a love like no other that is hard to come by today. His wife would always say that Matvey was a saint that was sent from above. 

His family immigrated to America 25 years ago where Matvey spent the remainder of his life. His past time was spent walking the Shippan beaches, photographing his family, and tinkering with his computer. 

Matvey was a strong and resilient man who always put his family first. He was quiet but powerful and his kind heart radiated through his personality. He was an animal lover and enjoyed the great outdoors. Those who knew Matvey would say he was always smiling and eager to learn about others and the world. 

He is survived by his wife, two children, and a granddaughter. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only a gravesite burial will be held at Long Ridge Union Cemetery, 156 Erskine Rd, Stamford, CT 06903 at 10:00 am on Friday, April 23rd, 2021.
