So sorry to have just learned this sad news. I also met “Solly” in the late 1970’s while working at WINS. One morning, he asked me to write a story for him - “Give me two sentences on this, then cut it down to one sentence, then cut it down to two words!”. I fondly remember the banter back and forth between Paul and his Editor Fred Hornby. Great memories of a great guy! He is missed.

I met your Dad when I joined WINS in 1978 and he was one of the best, nicest, warmest people I ever met. And he was so funny and entertaining. I used to love seeing him and your Mom when they visited the station over the years when they’d come into the City. He was a true original and a pioneer of the all news format. The #1 Anchor on the #1 station. He will be missed. Sending much love! Scott Herman
