Obituary of Leo Forrest Brace

Leo Forrest Brace the 3rd age 31 of Naugatuck, CT. Born May 20, 1983 in Carmel, NY. Raised in Stamford, CT and attended Westhill High School in Stamford, CT. where he graduated in June 2001. Leo enlisted in the Connecticut National Guard in January of 2002 and was deployed to Afghanistan between April 2006 – April 2007 for Operation Enduring Freedom where he served with honor and distinction. He was honorably discharged in 2007. Leo then became employed by LEX Products in Shelton, CT. where he worked until the time of his death. Leo is survived by his father Leo Forrest Brace JR. and step-mother Ramesh Brace (of Stamford CT.), mother Debra and step-father Remo (of Yonkers, NY), sisters Danielle and Samantha Brace and brother Stephen Brace of Stamford, CT. Also, sister Shannon Brace of Florida. Grandmother Roberta R. Brace of Hopewell Jct. NY. He was pre-deceased by his paternal grandfather Leo Forrest Brace Sr. and maternal grandfather Al Shoen, and maternal grandmother Peggy Shoen. He also has many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him and he has left behind and who could forget Uncle Pat. He was an avid sports fan, golfer, fishermen and loved NY Giants, NY Yankees and NY Islanders. A wake will be held at Shippan's Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home( same building as Bosak) at 453 Shippan Ave. Stamford, CT on Thursday (TODAY) October 16, 2014 between 5-8 pm. A wake and service will also be held in Tarrytown NY at The Dwyer & Vanderbilt Funeral Home 90 North Broadway Tarrytown, NY. For NY services times and location, please call (914)-631-0621.
