I have such fond memories of Aunt Sheila from your trips to Cape Cod when kids were little to just our last conversation at Caitlin's wedding.
She was always kind, loving and supportive.

I have so many happy memories of Aunt Sheila and all the Blanks. Our picnics in Pound Ridge, with the kids getting to take our own hikes ahead of the adults; backyard July 4 barbeques at the Blanks' house with Aunt Sheila's amazing blondies; Maine (of course!), which was always THE highlight of the year. I remember a Christmas party at the house on Hughes Avenue too, with carols and lots of cookies (we were little then), the bridal shower she and Aunt Joan Cohen threw for me and so many other acts of kindness from her to us Tergesens, including all of her visits to mom and dad in recent years. We are so grateful to have had her in our lives. - Anne

I was so sorry to read in this morning's local newspaper of Sheila's passing. We worked together in the WC Department of Health in the 1990s, and her attention to detail on tuberculosis contact investigations, as well as those of other disease outbreaks, was a joy to behold. Her retirement made me very sad; however, hearing of the traditions she established with her grandchildren highlights what a difference her life made in that sphere as well. My sincere condolences to her husband, children, grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
