Obituary of Linda Ann Lyons

Linda Ann Lyons, loving wife of the late Charles Douglas Lyons Sr. entered into eternal rest on October 8, 2020 surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Linda, affectionately known as “Dukie”, was born in Norwalk, CT on August 1, 1948 to Barney Artis Burden Sr. and the late Elizabeth “Lee” Burden.  She attended the Norwalk Public School system and she graduated from Brien McMahon High School in 1966. She entered into holy matrimony with Charles D. Lyons Sr. in 1969, a union that was blessed with three loving sons. She worked many years as an associate at Merchants Bank, and ended her work years as an administrative assistant at Mintz & Colangelo Law Firm.

Linda was known to have a creative mind.  She loved doing ceramics, macramé and home projects.   She took pride in decorating her homes and gardening in her yards to maintain her beautiful flowers.

She adored spending time with her family and leaves to cherish her memory; three sons, Charles Douglas Lyons Jr. (Dawn Kaplan) of Stratford, CT, Keith Artis Lyons (Vilma Rivera) of Wilton, CT, and Gerard Curtis (Michelle) Lyons of Manhattan, NY; grandchildren Johnathan Vargas, Ashleigh Lyons, Duwan Lyons and Ziva Lyons; parents Barney Artis (Alqueen) Burden Sr. of Norwalk, CT; sisters Daisy Marie Lee of Bridgeport, CT, Kesha (Terrence) Dancy of Norwalk, CT; brothers Stevie (Patricia) Burden of Bridgeport, CT and Kelvin Burden of Norwalk, CT; as well as her 4-legged son, “Butch”.  Besides the loss of her husband Charles and mother Elizabeth, she is predeceased by her brothers Barney Jr (Ernestine), Michael and Sean Burden.
