To the Pilcher Family,
I can not adequately express how much Willie meant to me as a coworker, friend and a role model of excellence at the West Side Fire House. 1979 as the only African American Firefighter working his shift, Willie Pilcher was the first firefighter to offer a sincere welcome to the job. His early guidance and Acceptance of me without prejudice, set the stage for my future advancement within the Stamford Fire Department. God Bless The Memory of Firefighter Robert Pilcher. Sincerely, Retired Chief Fire Marshal Charles Spaulding

The best and kindest back fence neighbors for 50+ years. Our dogs barked to great him at the fence whenever Bob was out caring for his yard and Mary would laugh when her kitty would sit on the back porch teasing the dogs. We will miss you Bob, forever In our hearts and prayers. Dick and Lynn
