A wonderful man and truly caring patriarch to his family, Richard will surely be missed. I will always have fond memories of vacations with Kelly and the Lyons family throughout my childhood. I’ll even miss being teased for being a Yankees fan. My sincere condolences to the Lyons family during this difficult time.
With much Love,

To the entire Lyons family, please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your patriarch. I always loved hearing his voice, and his personality always filled any room I was lucky to have shared with him. A special thanks to Dick for taking both an interest in me personally as well to the fire department in the place we were all lucky for him to call home...his contributions to the city he spent so much time in will not be forgotten. Godspeed Commissioner!

Kevin and I were deeply saddened, Alice, when we heard that Dick passed away. The love of your life has left this world. We know your heart and the hearts of your entire family are shattered. We are so sorry for your loss.
Just seeing your Facebook Timeline picture of Dick with his family – you, your children, your grandchildren - brings an enormous, heartfelt smile to our faces. We see a man who truly had a deep devotion to family above all else. The picture of Dick portrays who he was – one incredibly happy, loving Irishman and that is how we will remember him.
We hope and pray that you can gain strength from your family and friends to endure this very painful time in your life. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.
May God bless you all, now and always.
With our very deepest sympathy,
Kevin and Linda Malloy

My uncle Dickie was a great friend to so many. He and Alice lived above us in a two-decker in Brighton when I was a kid. He was always wonderful to me, and was really there for my mom when she needed it most. Thoughts and prayers to everyone.
