To Ginny and all the Fox family;
Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of the great and wonderful Gerry Fox - the best lawyer ever in Stamford. He was the people’s lawyer because he was so personable, caring and kind. My Father knew Gerry back to the days of his teenage years when he worked at Rogers Peet with Gerry Sr. I remember going to their home in Scarsdale as a youngster for a few family get togethers. My Dad loved the patriarch Gerry Sr and Gerry Jr was his go to Attorney for all matters of probate years later. He would always say Gerry Fox is the best - forget all the rest!! And it was so true. I always felt my Father’s presence whenever speaking with Gerry. It brought me a lot of good feelings of trust and competency - they don’t make them like that anymore!
Rest In Peace Judge Fox - your legacy will always live on in your memory.
With deepest sympathy,
Kathy Hart

It is with deep regret that I learned about the passing of the Honorable Gerry Fox, jr. As a psychologist in Stamford, Gerry has been a great help to me with some of my patients. He worked cooperatively with me as a probate judge to assist with helping children be returned to their rightful parents. He was very helpful in cases of complex divorce and child abuse or neglect cases. Along with assisting persons with their name changes, he also assisted me with complex adoption cases. His warmth and humanity toward all will be missed. My condolences to the Fox family.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey Cohen, Ph.D.

For Gerry was totally one of a kind. "A truly sincere and considerate person"
As one of his many clients; I will always be grateful for his guidance and knowledge. He stood apart from others; gaining respect for his patient attitude that attributed to fair and honest results.
I am grateful I had the honor to know Gerry and now I will keep him in my prayers; for surely he will be remembered and missed by clients, many friends and the community he served, coupled with his beloved family.

Dear Ginny and family- As a cub reporter for the Stamford Advocate back in the 1970s, I could always count on Gerry for an honest assessment of the political and community landscape. That was gold for someone trying to cover this complicated city! I will remember Gerry fondly as a warm and decent person who cared so much for Stamford and served us all so admirably, always with a smile. My sympathy to you and your family. To The Fox family,
We were saddened to learn of Gerry’s untimely passing. He was one of the most respected probate judges in the state. He combined a thorough knowledge of the law with wisdom and common sense. During the twelve years we served in adjacent probate districts, I always looked forward to our professional and social meetings. I know he was thrilled to leave the court in such capable hands upon his retirement. He was a good friend who will be missed.

To Ginny and the entire Fox family, please know that the thoughts and prayers of the entire Regan family are with you.
Beyond the fog of my sadness is the lasting gift of Gerry's thoughtfulness. When you spoke to him, and he to you, his focus was on you, as if you were the only other person in the room, no matter where, no matter when. Between that focus, and his personal warmth and generosity, no matter how long or short the conversation was, you were left with that gift. There are so many among us that will always carry that gift in our hearts. Unsurprisingly, Gerry III has the same generosity.
There surely is a heaven, and Gerry is surely there.

So sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing. My condolences to Ginny and his family. I cannot express in words what a great colleague, mentor and friend he was. He was always available to help whoever he could in our community and cared deeply about Stamford. There was no single one person in the City of Stamford better suited to succeed Judge Shapiro than Judge Fox. He was an example to be held out to all the other probate judges as to how to be a probate judge. He will be missed, but not forgotten.

Tribute to Hon. Gerald M. Fox, Jr.
Gerry Fox was a wonderful example of how a judge can give meaningful support to people at very difficult times in their lives. His decisions involved very sensitive issues in people’s lives. He gave sound advice to those who appeared before him, always with a smile and good fellowship. Anyone that appeared before him left his court assured that they had received understanding and a fair result. Over the years, he was always a bright light for the legal community and the public for which he served. I was delighted to be able to call him a friend.
Sincerely,
Richard A. Silver

Our hearts are broken. Words seem inadequate to express the sorrow we feel for the Fox Family. We know Jerry fought a long battle and are so deeply sorry he lost it.
Jerry was a pillar of the community – his beloved city of Stamford. His life was dedicated to others – family, friends, clients, politicians, and all parties in his courtroom. He gained the respect of all because he gave so much of himself to all. He was an honorable and caring man – filled with kindness and compassion – who possessed a unique sense of humor. He always left a smile on our faces.
We have been blessed to know Jerry for so many years – a better friend could not be had. His guidance, wisdom, concern, and support will always be appreciated, will always be remembered.
The loss of your husband, your father, your grandfather, your brother, your friend, cripples the heart and soul. The pain is excruciating. We can only hope you find peace in the love of family and friends. Please know that we are praying that you can gain strength to endure the pain.
May God bless you all, now and always.
