Dear Alison & family,
Gary was a wonderful man & life long customer of my late dad, Harry & ours at our family business, Bedford Jewelers. He would often tell stories of remembering coming in with his late mother, when he was a little boy. We got to know him when Patriot was next door to us on High Ridge. He always put a smile on our faces. It was a pleasure to see him, each & every time. He was so happy to move back from Florida to be with you & his beloved grandchildren. It was truly a shock that he was taken at such a young age. He will be missed by all of us, who had the privilege to know him. RIP Gary

I was fortunate to have spent a few years knowing Gary. He was a joy to be around. Gary always had an interesting point of view, even when it differed from yours, was neat to a fault, intelligent, handsome and a true gentleman. Alison, you were the apple of his eye and I can only imagine the happiness you brought to him with his grandchildren.
Gary, the world is a little less bright without you in it.

To the Sessa family. You have my deepest condolences regarding the passing of Gary. I knew Gary as a child and teenager when Gary lived on Lund Ave. My name is Frank Kane. I grew up on the corner of Weed Hill Ave.and Upper Haig Ave. I never knew Gary to have harsh feelings or say a negative comment toward anyone. Games of touch football wiffle ball were always fun and numerous. Sledding with the gang on the hill in front of the Preu's, Sabatini's & Pappas's and Garys' always brought. fond memeories. I like Gary attended St. Cecelia's & Stamford Catholic Class. of. '70. Gary will be missed by his family and friends. Sincerely, Frank Kane

Dear Allison,
I had the great fortune of knowing and working with your Dad at the Knights of Columbus. He helped to arrange for the Catholic Charities Meals on Wheels program to use the kitchen facilities. Your Dad was so kind and generous - I felt very fortunate to have known him. He spoke of you and your kids often, especially about how proud of you he was. I was so sorry to hear the news. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.
Best,
Maureen P. Neuberger

Gary was a good man and a great friend to many. He was kind hearted, caring, loving smart, witty, humorous ,determined, etc. But also could be among other things: sarcastic ,opinionated, hard headed ,determined and perhaps a smart aleck. In other words, well rounded. That's what we all loved about him. However, what I admire him most for was his love of life. He lived it to the fullest knowing that it may be his last and he thanked God everyday for it. He was the eternal optimist. He always faced difficulties with the "glass half full attitude." I know first hand that when faced with all his challenges and adversities in the past 6 years he didn't become defeated but rather said "This too shall pass". In my heart ,even though it was sudden I feel that he probably thought this too shall pass and yet thanked God for passing without suffering.
My condolences to all. We have lost one of the best.

Dear Sessa Family,
While in college I worked under Gary as a bank teller during the summer.. What a great guy and so easy to work for. he wrote a letter of recommendation for me a few years after I graduated. I believe that part of his career was at Citizens Savings Bank in Stamford. I also remember him talking about his military service.
May he rest with God ant the angels in peace.
