Obituary of Jose Luis Mendez
A loved father, brother, and son, Jose Luis Mendez, of Stamford, Connecticut passed away peacefully on July 1, 2020 at Stamford Hospital.
He was born on July 23, 1944 in Patillas, Puerto Rico and resided in the town of Stamford for many years.
Jose had a great love for music- you could always find him dancing to old music or playing his guitar and singing for his loved ones. He always enjoyed cooking rice and baked chicken for company and was the best at telling jokes. His joy and laughter will be deeply missed by those closest to him.
His parents Alfonso Mendez and Evangelista Eboy are deceased. Jose is survived by his brother, Felix Mendez in Patillas, Puerto Rico. He is also survived by his children Jose, Jacqueline, and Gilbert Mendez. His daughter Vilma Mendez passed away in 2018.
A private memorial service will be held within the immediate family.
