Obituary of Ezequiel Josue Romero

Ezequiel “Zeke” Josuè Romero passed away on June 15, 2020. He was 24 years old.
Zeke was born on August 30, 1995 to Reyna Rivera. A longtime resident of Norwalk, CT, he received his undergraduate degree from Husson University, and was in his final year of graduate school to receive his Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, with the plan to serve the lower income community.
Zeke enjoyed watching all sports, but especially football and soccer. He enjoyed working out and spending time with his friends, and traveling the world. Zeke traveled to England, Germany, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador and so many others; and had made it a priority to explore new places regularly - he was full of life and adventure. Those who loved Zeke knew him to be compassionate and determined. He’ll be missed for his witty sense of humor and hearty laugh, among many other endearing qualities.
Zeke is survived by his mother - Reyna Rivera, his siblings - Karla Rivera, Jesslie Romero, and Christian Romero, and his niece - Nicole Rivera.

Zeke’s funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2020 from 10am-3pm at Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home located at 453 Shippan Ave in Stamford CT (203) 359-9999. Masks are required for entry.

Condolences may be offered at Zeke’s memorial service on Thursday June 18th at the corner of East Ave and Sunset Hill at 7:30pm or on Sunday June 21st at Tom Gallagher Funeral Home.

Zeke nacio el 30 de agosto de 1995 y fallecio el 15 de junio de 2020. Hijo de Reyna Rivera. De descendencia Salvadorena; residente de la ciudad de Norwalk, CT, recibió su título universitario en Husson University, y estaba en su último año de postgrado para recibir su Maestría en Psicología Clínica, con el plan de servir a la comunidad de bajos ingresos.
Zeke disfrutaba ver todos los deportes, pero especialmente el fútbol soccer y el fútbol americano. Le gustaba hacer ejercicios, pasar tiempo con sus amigos, y viajar por el mundo. Zeke viajó a Inglaterra, Alemania, Checoslovaquia, Holanda, Belice, Guatemala, El Salvador y muchos otros paises. Habia convertido en una prioridad explorar nuevos lugares con regularidad; estaba lleno de vida y aventura. Quienes lo aman saben que era compasivo y decidido. Se le extrañará por su gran sentido del humor y su risa cordial, entre muchas otras cualidades. A Zeke le sobreviven su madre: Reyna Rivera, sus hermanos: Karla Rivera, Jesslie Romero, Christian Romero, y su sobrina: Nicole Rivera.

El funeral de Zeke se llevará a cabo el domingo 21 de junio de 2020 de 10 a.m. a 3 p.m. en la funeraria Tom Gallagher ubicada en 453 Shippan Ave en Stamford CT.

Las condolencias se pueden ofrecer en el servicio conmemorativo de Zeke el jueves 18 de junio en la esquina de East Ave y Sunset Hill a las 7:30 pm o el domingo 21 de junio en Tom Gallagher Funeral Home.

En ambos eventos se require usar mascarillas.
