Dr. Chess was as friendly and funny, as he was talented and great, at what he did. I saw him for procedures other doctors could not do. He fixed issues quickly, and always with a smile. The great ones make what they do look easy. He was a leader in his field with none better. So sad that he passed, for his family and all the friends that he healed.

I would like to give my condolences and prayers to Dr. Chess's family. I first discovered Dr. Chess in the Yellow Pages phonebook in 1991, desperate to find a doctor with his speciality during that time--I was 20. He was an amazing doctor. His work made a great impact--Dr. Cyrus Chess will always be remembered.

I was just calling to make an appointment with Dr Chess and there was no answer at the office. The phone just rang & rang. I looked online and was devastated to learn of Dr. Chess's passing last year. He was a terrific doctor. He explained everything he was doing to me before he did it with the laser. I had been seeing him on & off since 1993. My condolences to his family.

My very best friend, since we were around 9? years old. He got to the heart of a matter. He was always up for analytic discussion, but always open to alternative ideas. We backpacked and shared the natural world, as well. With mutual understanding, deep fondness and respect, we were bound - I thought, forever. I lost a part of myself when he left us. Tend the big garden in the sky, my friend... [tears]

Dr. Chess was the best doctor I had ever known, not even close. His professionalism as a doctor was superb. His costs and treatments were also terrific. Great human being as well. I had seen him since 2001 all the way until February 2019. Many treatments for several tattoo removals. Takes many years as every 6 months those tattoos fade a little bit more. My best to the family.

I was shocked and devastated to learn of Cyrus's death. I found out in the worst possible way- when CVS called to tell me they could not renew it because the office was closed. I just didn't believe them and called myself. Cyrus was not only my doctor he was my friend and roommate when he was an intern and a resident. Seeing him was always a pleasure. They weren't just appointments- they were visits with an old and good friend. I feel terrible that I am first finding out and could not even go to the funeral and pay my respects. I will really, really miss him.

I was eagerly awaiting my October appointment with Dr. Chess, only to find out from Diane of his sudden passing. I have been his patient for many years, and he was the old-fashioned type of doctor, who really engaged with you, shared his professional expertise and wanted to be as helpful as possible. He made the experience of getting laser treatments enjoyable and looked forward to our conversations. He was a thoughtful, intelligent, compassionate man who wore his heart on his sleeves, and his eccentricities was appreciated because it allowed me to feel extremely comfortable in his presence. We could banter about everything and he was never shy about providing his professional opinions and giving his views on all things political. He will be sorely missed to all those who had the privilege of being under his care. My sincerest condolences to his family, and friends as well as his devoted office staff who worked closely with him and allowed him to do what he did best! Rest in peace with lots of well-tended gardens surrounding you!

I was so saddened yesterday to call the office for an appointment and hear the office was permanently closed. Not knowing why, I checked online and was shocked to find out Dr. Chess is no longer with us. I have been a patient for ten years, and feel such grief at his loss, and sadness for his family. He was the most wonderful doctor - kind and honest, and always reassuring. Diane was always great as well. Rest in peace, Dr. Chess - I will miss you.

We will always remember his beautiful smile, kind heart and love and interest in others. I loved his garden and his animals. He knew how to live right up to his calling! I loved how he taught Roxanne and Forrest how to appreciate nature and not to be afraid of adventures or even that little mouse Roxanne had as a child! Rest In Peace doc!
