My deepest condolences to the Truglio Family.
I enjoyed very much talking to Joseph about Second World War.
He would share his impressive experiences with me and I will share
with Joseph my Dad's stories during World War II.

I have very fond memories of Mr. and Mrs. Truglio while growing up as a close friend to Anthony. Their house was always welcoming to neighborhood friends and they always made sure no one went hungry with offerings of delicious Italian food. Mr. Truglio was a kind, gentle and generous man. I did not know about his hardships in WWII or specific early challenges upon coming to America. However, that does speak to the man I remember, grounded in faith. God bless!

Mr. Truglio has been an inspiration and presence in my life since I met Tony at 14 years and our families became each other’s. A truer gentleman could not be found. His 99 years continue as an inspiration to us all.
In love and light, Ray Hogan

Although I remember my "Zio Joe" as a religious man who enjoyed solitude and quiet, I also remember his love for family and friends and how he enjoyed being with them. But I especially remember how much he loved children, and the joy (clearly expressed in his face and eyes) he would derive from giving them a treat, telling them something silly, or showing a scary movie projected on the outside wall of the garage (a novel idea for 45 years ago!). He also loved animals and they took to him as well. I think he once told me it was the innocence of children and animals that he found endearing and I think the innocent were drawn to him because of his love, patience, and kindness. He gave a loud message of love in his own quiet way. I will miss him dearly and I will cherish the memories I have of him always.
