Vivek Date posted a condolence

I am Vivek Date of Walnut Creek CA 94595. I was neighbor of Jayant at Ocean Gold Prabhadevi and had visited his home once on invitation of wife Ranjana for a focus group she had organized along with my neighbor Venkatachalam who worked as PA to H T Parkeh at ICICI. We immigrated to USA in 1994 around the same time Jayant immigrated though he returned to India later and I stayed on. Very sorry to learn of his untimely demise, we are almost of same age and I was in Elphinstone College 1961-65 doing Economics and had seen him there while he was in Science for one year. His sister Kunda was my two years junior though we did not know each other. My belated condolences

Happy Birthday dear JVP! God bless you Jayant! Hope you are well up in Heaven
I was lucky to work for Mr. Jayant Pendharkar as my boss and a great friend! JVP had innate interest in people, helping connect the dots and giving back without much fanfare. Shocking and too difficult to accept the news. Miss you Sir! I hope my prayers and wishes reach up up there in Heaven! Eternal peace.
bye, Chacko Joy Sep 8, 2019

I first met Jayant on the tennis court, and spent many hours on the courts playing friendly tennis and competitive tennis for the company. In later years I also worked with him professionally.
I have known him as a wonderful fun loving individual always ready to offer help, tips, and opinions when asked for.
He will be missed and I pray for strength to the family to overcome this loss.
Regards,
Chandran

Jayant was a dear friend. He was my hostel roommate at IIT Bombay in my freshman year. He was a dear friend and he shared many stories with me. I was impressed with his ability to make friends with all IIT students -- very popular indeed and a part time prankster. He made my first year at IIT a great joy. We remained friends for many years even after I moved to the US. Whenever I went to India, which was not that often, he always invited me to play Tennis (my love as well) at his home - Bombay Gymkhana. Jayant taught me a lot about how to meet key people and make good friends.
I know that Jayant is in a very fine place in Heaven, making friends with the Key people and booking tennis matches and having a ball. Have a great after life my friend. Love you always. Friends forever !!!

Jayant was a great senior colleague at TCS, highly competent & confident yet unassuming, a great leader in true sense, always ready to coach and offer a helping hand. It was not his time to go but he had a great inning!
May God bless his soul with eternal peace.
We will miss him but he will always live in our hearts.

Devastated to hear the tragic news. Jayant was a good friend, tennis buddy and associate in TCS. He stayed with me in London a few years ago and we always looked forward to him and Ranjana visiting London.
May God give the family strength to bear this loss. We are always there to provide any assistance you may need.

Dear Amrita, Ranjana and the rest of the family,
We were very sorry to hear about the sudden passing away of Jayant. I know how close you all were and it must be a terrible shock. We got to know them as Amrita's parents at her wedding and later met them in Bali at Josh's wedding. Ranjana and Jayant were sharing stories about the Bombay Blast then...
Please accept our condolences. May God guide you and strengthen you at this time.
In sympathy,
Hema (akka) and Mark

I felt very sad to hear this. My deepest condolences to the family.
Just few months back in Feb earlier this year, few of us here in TCS Sydney met him and Ranjana. They were on their personal visit but still took time out to meet us at TCS office. Listening to him was pleasure as he shared many personal stories of early days of TCS. His presence was always so inspirational. Rest In Peace, Sir

I worked with him 16 years in his executive office at TCS and had a very unique relationship that cannot be explained. He was a mentor, guardian and family friend. There are lot of instances that runs through my memory just thinking of him which cannot be forgotten. So many all over the globe called me when they heard the news and could not believe it. He always made a point to inform me whenever he was travelling outside India and again would call on his return. No more calls from him. I owe whatever I have achieved in my career at TCS to him for his guidance mentorship and push. Thank you Jayant for everything. Miss you a lot. May your soul rest in peace.

Jayant uncle was so special to us. All my life I remember him active, arguing and laughing! He was strength, courage and guidance to us always.I feel so privileged that he visited and stayed at our home with Aunty.
Recently he took me to Ralli House..now TCS house to show me where my father sat. He spoke to every security guard and receptionist and spoke to them about my father who passed 40 years ago. I tear up now..cos he gave me such a precious memory. Also I got to dance with him at his 75th party! That's so special for me!
Thank you Jayant Uncle for enriching our lives with your amazing energy.
