Obituary of David M. Cooper
DAVID MILLER COOPER died suddenly on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at his residence in Stamford, CT. He was a lifelong resident of Stamford born December 28, 1964 and was 49 years old. David is survived by his brother, Jerry Cooper and sister-in-law, Beth Cooper; nephews, Bryan, Eric, Sam and a niece, Renee Cooper and other close relatives. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Stanley F. Cooper and Rita Miller Cooper and his sister, Brenda Cooper. David was a devoted brother , uncle and friend who provided joy and happiness to those that knew him. He was an avid volunteer for Stamford Hospital for many many years and most recently Rebuilding Together. He was always found at his nephews or nieces sporting events throughout Stamford always cheering very loudly. David was proud to be a Stamford Native and very involved in the community. He would constantly provide letters to the editor to share his insights for all of us to read. Besides his family, volunteer and community involvement he thoroughly enjoyed sports. David was a huge fan of the Oakland Raiders, Nascar Racing, Kansas City Royals Baseball and a very PROUD UCONN Huskie fan who would attend many games for both the Men and Women's Basketball Teams. David graduated from Westhill High School in 1982, Bentley College, Bachelors in Finance and MBA University of Bridgeport, Finance. His career highlights included Muehlstein, Meckler Media Corporation, Guinness America Caribbean , Virgin Atlantic Airways, Tyco, Southern Connecticut Newspapers and most recently Pepsi. Service will be held Wednesday, June 25th at Temple Beth El, 350 Roxbury Road, Stamford, CT at noon. Burial will be held in the Temple Beth El Cemetery. Family will receive friends & family at the home of Jerry and Beth Cooper, Stamford Wednesday, June 25th after burial service. Donations may be made in David's memory to a charity of your choice.
