Obituary of Arlene T Critzman

Arlene Terry Critzman, 75, lifetime resident of Stamford, CT., passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 9^th, 2018, at the Fairfield County Hospice House in Stamford, after bravely battling cancer.

Arlene was born in Stamford, CT., to George and Esther (Cohen) Molowitz, on March 18^th, 1943. She graduated Stamford High School in 1961, and attended The University of Bridgeport.  She worked as a teacher’s assistant at Newfield Elementary School for 37 years and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her 3 grandchildren.

Arlene is survived by her husband, Howard John Critzman of Stamford, CT., son Scott Critzman and his wife Jeanne of Norwalk, CT., daughter Laura Lagerstedt of Barre, VT., sister Susan Kolbrenner and her husband Max of Stamford, CT., grandchildren Kate Lagerstedt, Julia Lagerstedt, and Matthew Critzman, niece Amy Neer and husband Jason, nephew Seth Kolbrenner and his wife Megan. She is preceded in death by her mother, Esther Molowitz, and her father George Molowitz.

Funeral service will be held at Agudath Sholom 301 Strawberry Hill Ave, Stamford, CT. on Tuesday December 11th 2018, at 1:30pm with Rabbi Daniel Cohen officiating. Burial will follow at Independent Lodge Cemetery, 305 Hoyt Street, Darien, CT. 06820. The family will be sitting Shiva at the home of Susan and Max Kolbrenner from 2:00pm-5:00pm and from 7:00pm-9:00pm on Wednesday December 12^th and Thursday December 13^th.  Thomas Gallagher Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.
