Obituary of Albert Knopf

Albert Knopf, 99, a Stamford native, died September 28, 2018 at his home in Delray Beach, Florida. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lee Sosin Knopf, his brother, Harold Knopf, and his sister, Helen Weinman. He was a graduate of Stamford public schools and Pace University. He served as a lab technician in the Philippines during WWII and went on to a career as a tax accountant. He is survived by his sister, Charlotte Miller, his nephews Jerry Knopf, Larry Knopf and Michael Knopf, and his nieces Barbara Banks and Carol Bettigole. Services and burial will 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3rd at the Independent Lodge Cemetery in Darien, CT. Shiva will be the home of his sister, Charlotte Miller, in Norwalk.
