Obituary of Cynthia Ann Bahr

Cynthia A. Bahr of Stamford, CT peacefully passed away at home on Friday, September 14, 2018. She was 71. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Sophia Conover of Elmsford, NY. She was born in Tarrytown, NY, grew up in Elmsford, NY and later moved to Connecticut. Cindy had a big heart, quick wit, and spread love wherever she went. She nurtured furry friends, human friends, and family with her cooking and compassionate personality. In addition to cooking, she enjoyed traveling, reading, decorating her beautiful home, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends laughing and sharing stories. Holidays were her favorite time of year and she loved bringing joy to everyone around her. Cindy fought her illness with grace, strength, and courage. She is survived by her faithful canine companion, Ernie, son William M. Bahr (Peggy), daughters Christine McDonald (Jim) and Serena Leland, her brother Bill Conover (Jan), sister-in-law Barbara Bahr (Joanne), 5 grandchildren, and a nephew. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite animal rescue organization 

The visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home ( next to the Knights of Columbus) 453 Shippan Ave Stamford, CT (203)-359-9999.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Saint Maurice Church 358 Glenbrook Rd, Stamford, CT.  To send condolences to the family, please visit www.gallagherfuneralhome.com
