Obituary of Phyllis Ruth Sabia

Phyllis Ruth Sabia, age 81, of Stamford, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018.  She was born on August 7, 1937 to the late Philip and Ruth Tedeschi in Norwalk, CT.

                Phyllis was known for her kindness, sense of humor and zest for life, always putting the needs of others before her own.  She loved music, art, fashion, animals and most of all, her family and friends.

                She was a graduate of Stamford High School and after raising her family, worked as an executive secretary at the Madison Paper Co. before retiring.

                Phyllis was pre-deceased by her husband William A. Sabia and is survived by her children, William P. (Cathy) Sabia, Allison (John) Doherty, and Diane Sabia; her partner of 35 years, Donald Kane; her sister Ann Williams; her brother Robert Tedeschi; grandchildren, Louis Calabrese, Dante Calabrese, Billy Sabia, Michelle Sabia, John Doherty, Ryan Doherty and Maggie Doherty; and great grandchild Rocco Calabrese.

                The family will receive friends at the Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home ( next to the Knights of Columbus) , 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT ( 203)-359-9999 on Saturday, September 15^th, from 10:00am-1:00pm.  A memorial Service will follow at 1 PM at the Thomas M.
