Obituary of Patricia Lanuk

Patricia Tekla Mary Korszniok Lanuk passed away peacefully at her home on August 20, 2018. Born in Westport CT on October 9, 1927.  She was predeceased in death by her beloved Husband Alexander Lanuk, her parents Michael and Anna Korszniok, and her 9 siblings.  She is survived by her two-loving daughter’s Sharon Lanuk Hubiak (Gregory) and Alexandria Lanuk, her granddaughter Katya Hubiak and grandson Alexander Hubiak along with numerous nieces, nephews.

She was in one of the first women graduating classes of Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine Dental Hygiene Program.   She worked for several prominent dentists in Greenwich, Stamford and New Canaan along with the Stamford Public School District.  She was an amazing mother and grandmother.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Holy Assumption Orthodox Church, active in the women’s group of the church and the Stamford Over 60 club.  Later in her retirement she would be the “eagle eye” golf ball spotter for her daughters.

Friends may call at the Thomas Gallagher Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave, Stamford, CT 06902 (203)-359-9999, on Thursday August 23, 5-8 p.m. A Panahida (Memorial) Service will be conducted at 7 pm. 

A funeral service will be held at St. Mary’s Holy Assumption Orthodox Church 141 Den Road Stamford, CT 06903 on Friday, August 24 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Long Ridge Union Cemetery, Stamford.
