Obituary of William Adair

William Adair, 83 years old, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 23, 2018.

He was the loving husband of Anna Adair.  William was born November 4, 1934 in County Wicklow, Ireland.  He lived in England for a short while before coming to the United States and settling in Stamford, CT.  He worked for Pitney Bowes for 38 years.  He was a member of the Hibernian Hall, The Knights of Columbus and The Fraternal Order of the Eagles. 

Survivors include his wife Anna (Lynch) Adair, step-daughter Sinaed (Adair) Bailey, granddaughter Shannen Bailey and grandsons Hunter and Gunnar Warga.  His sister Betty and husband Jack Kinsella, his sister Mary Lambert and lots of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews in Ireland.

He is predeceased by his parents John and Elizabeth (Fitzpatrick) Adair, Brothers, John and Pat, sisters Ann and Bridget all of Ireland.

Family and friends are welcome to call at Thomas Gallagher Funeral Home, 435 Shippan Ave, Stamford, CT on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 4pm – 8pm.  Funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 9:30am proceeding to St. Bridget of Ireland Church at 278 Strawberry Hill Ave, Stamford, CT for a 10AM Mass.  To extend condolences to the family, please visit www.gallagherfuneralhome.com
