Obituary of Paul B White

Longtime resident of his beloved New York City, Paul Boles White, 84, died on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. He was born on June 22, 1934 in Stamford, Connecticut, the youngest son of Leo and Josephine (Flaherty) White. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Leo White, John H. White, William White and Patricia White Memale. Paul was a beloved uncle and great uncle to his nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Paul served his country and is a veteran of the United States Army. His professional career included the U.S. Merchant Marines, Port Master around the globe and broker at Waterhouse Securities. He will be dearly missed by his many friends and family who are grateful to have been blessed by his benevolent presence in their lives through stories of his amazing life adventures, his unparalleled wit and humor, and his enviable knowledge of literature, art and jazz. He was a devoted lover the arts and perennial member of the great art institutions of New York City. A service will be held at Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home, (next to the Knights of Columbus) 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 ( 203)- 359-9999 at 12:30 pm on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Interment will follow immediately at St. John's Cemetery, 25 Camp Avenue, Darien, CT 06820. In lieu of flowers, Paul's preferred charitable organization is UNICEF.
