Obituary of James J. Cocolis

James J. Cocolis a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away on May 8, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family, he was 83. James was a graduate of Fairfield Prep High School and Pace College. He served his country with the US Army during the Korean War. Mr. Cocolis was a lifelong active member of the Church of the Archangels, past President and 50 year member of AHEPA and State Street Debating Society Scholarship Chairman. James family was the former owner of the Halfway House where he was employed for many years. In addition, he retired from Petro Oil Company as an accountant. He is survived by his wife Keula of over 50 years, one son, John of Stamford, one daughter, Stephanie Odle and her husband Eric of Stamford. Visitation will be held Sunday May 11, 2014 from 3-7 at Shippan's Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home (Same facility as Bosak) 453 Shippan Ave Stamford, CT. A Trisagion service will be held at 4pm. A Funeral Service will be held 11 am on Monday May 12, 2014 at Church of Archangels 1527 Bedford St Stamford, CT. Burial will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery.
