Obituary of John Douglas Claudio

Beloved husband, father and brother, John Douglas Claudio, 55, of Stamford, CT passed away on March 11, 2018 at Stamford Hospital.  He was a resident of Stamford, CT and formerly of Norwalk, CT.

John was born in New York, NY to Angel Luis Claudio and Antonia Hernandez on January 10, 1963. 

Over the years he worked in sales, recruiting and telecom.

John enjoyed being a part of the Cranbury community and was very active in the Cranbury PTO. He brought love and laughter to everyone that knew him. John’s dedication to his friends and family never went unnoticed. His children were his pride and joy and spending time with them was his number one priority. John spent many hours coaching his son’s soccer teams and attending his daughter’s gymnastic meets.

John is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 18 years, Laura (Belmonte) Claudio and his two loving children Samantha and Tyler.  He is also survived by his brother, Michael Fuentes; his sister, Angelina Claudio; and many nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his brother-in-law Gary A. Belmonte; and his parents-in-law Gary J. Belmonte and Elaine Belmonte.

He is preceded in death by his mother Antonia Hernandez, his father Angel Luis Claudio and his step-father Juan Hernandez.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Jerome’s Church, 23 Half Mile Road in Norwalk, CT on Saturday, March 17th at 11:00 a.m.  Arrangements are under the direction of Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home, Stamford. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, 25 Camp Ave. Darien, CT.
