Obituary of Roberta Jane Morano

Roberta Jane Morano

Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday, February 17th, 2018.

Bert, as she was called, was a warm loving housewife who dedicated her life to her three children and husband who loved her and appreciated the many things she did to keep them all in line. She was the heart and the hub of her family.

She is survived by her husband Bill of 57 years, children Billy, Laura, and Kevin, and their spouses, Cyndy, Fran, and Rain, and grandson Brandon. She is also survived by her sisters Charlotte Donovan of Maine, Mary Peterson of New York, and brother John Mather of Tennessee and closest friend since childhood Carol Smith. She is predeceased by her baby sister Helen Tompkins.

Roberta was born in a small house on France Street in Norwalk Connecticut to Frances and Harold L. Mather on January 4th, 1941. She spent much of her childhood in the area of Carmel, New York, enjoyed her teen years in Norwalk, and the remainder of her life as wife and mother in Stamford.

Not only was she a dedicated and wonderful wife, she also kept the family household and business going with her endless efforts. She was honest, selfless, and giving. She was always there for her family.

She enjoyed her New York Yankees, old movies, and music. She was an exceptional cook and homemaker. She loved visiting Lake George, New York for the many summers she traveled and the music of the Minne Ha Ha.

She is and will be missed by all who knew her, especially her family. She was there for everyone every day of her life and will be missed for every day to come.
