Obituary of Marilyn E. Vetrane

Marilyn Vetrane, 73, a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother passed away peacefully on February 14, 2018 at Stamford Hospital.  She was born on July 22, 1944 to the late Raymond Adkins and Mary Moran. Marilyn was born at home and lived most of her life in Stamford.

Marilyn is survived by her husband David. They were married in 1966 and spent the last 51 years together. She is also survived by her daughters Maura Daly and her husband Sean, and Jennifer Pantanella and her husband James, and three grandchildren, Ryan, Colleen and Nicole. Marilyn is pre-deceased by her Mother, Father, brothers Thomas and George Adkins and sister Geraldine Osuch. She is survived by sisters Janice Donnelly and Beverly Karas.

Marilyn is a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants. Her Ancestors are John Alden and Priscilla Mullins. Both were passengers on the Mayflower. She also is a descendant of Reuben Bliss and Joshua Blodgett, both fought in The American Revolution.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 4 -8PM at THOMAS M. GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME (Next to the Knights of Columbus) 453 Shippan Avenue in Stamford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30AM ON Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Church of the Holy Spirit 403 Scofieldtown Road in Stamford. Interment will be private.
