Obituary of Mildred Stuckey Jordan
Mildred (Millie) Stuckey Jordan, beloved mother of Elaine DeVylder, passed away on November 10, 2017. Millie was born on June 9, 1923 in Cadwell, Georgia. She and her late husband, Louis E Jordan, raised their only child, Elaine, in Jacksonville, FL.
In addition to her daughter Elaine and son-in-law Ed, Millie is survived by her grandson Joe DeVylder and her grandson Jordan DeVylder and his wife Elizabeth and their two children, Darby Jones DeVylder and Archie Rae DeVylder. She is also survived by her sister Marjorie (Stuckey) Rhodes, her brother, Norman (Billy) Stuckey and nieces and nephews.
Millie loved her family, making all kinds of crafts and gardening. She was employed in the defense industry during World War II. Later she retired after many years of service as an accountant with Southern Bell. She was a member of her church choir and of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Colonial Dames.
Millie’s family will receive the sympathy and condolences of family and friends from 4 PM to 7 PM on Monday November 13, 2017 at Thomas M.
