Obituary of Stanley Schwartz, DDS

Stanley Schwartz, born in Bronx, NY in 1922 to Grace and Paul Schwartz, died peacefully on October 31, 2017 in Rye Brook, NY. He graduated from Indiana University undergraduate and Dental School in 1945. After serving in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific he started a dental practice in Brooklyn, NY.  He married Eleanor Galison in 1948. He subsequently started an orthodontic practice in Scarsdale, NY in 1956, where he served the community for 60 plus years. He was predeceased by his wife in 1987 and his brother Albert in 1984.  Survivors include his four children:  Daniel, Lawrence, Suzanne, and Karen, in addition to their spouses, and eight grandchildren.   A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Sharon Gardens Cemetery 273 Lakeview Avenue Valhalla, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to World Jewish Congress 501 Madison Avenue New York, NY 10022.
