Obituary of Margaret " Madge" Danks-Geiger

Margaret ‘Madge’ Danks-Geiger, daughter of Louis and Margaret Braun, sister of Louis Braun Jr., passed away after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease on the evening of August 23rd, 2017.
 
 
 
Madge was born in Stamford Hospital on November 1st, 1941. She graduated from Stamford High School in 1959 and married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth David Danks in 1962.
 
 
 
She is survived by her three daughters:  Karen Danks, Cheryl and Fred Aubrey, Susan and John Piorkowski and her grandchildren: Megan Aubrey, Kenny Aubrey, Katelyn Piorkowski,, Chloe Martinelli, Jake Geiger and Kevin Geiger.  Her stepchildren include Lowell, Greg and Laura Geiger.
 
 
 
Madge is also survived by her brother in-law David Danks and many nieces and nephews.  She is pre-deceased by her husband Kenneth David Danks and her brother Louis Braun Jr.
 
 
 
Madge was an accomplished business professional while being an amazing and caring mother and friend to all those who entered her home and will be greatly missed by all.
 
 
 
Visitation is scheduled for Monday, August 28, 2017 from 4- 7 PM  at  Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home ( Next to the Knights of Columbus) 453 Shippan Ave, Stamford, CT (203) 359-9999.   A Funeral Service to celebrate her life will be held at Zion Lutheran Church at 132 Glenbrook Rd, Stamford, CT, on Tuesday, August 29th at 11am. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, Stamford.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital (www.stjude.org/donate).  To send condolences to the family, please visit www.gallagherfuneralhome.com
