Obituary of Ann S Baur

~~Ann Savina Baur, Age 96, of Stamford, CT passed away peacefully in her home on May 5, 2017.  She was born in West Frankfort, Illinois on April 13, 1921 to the late Michael and Rose Savina. She moved to Stamford, CT after she married Raymond A. Baur. Ann enjoyed travelling the world and visited many beautiful sights, she was a long time member of Wee Burn Country Club and an active member of their bowling league.

Ann was predeceased by her husband, Raymond A. Baur and her brothers Johhnie, William and Michael.  She is survived by her sister, Mary Ramniceanu of New York City, along with several nieces and nephews.

Ann was a generous supporter of the Bartlett Arboretum, The Stamford Land Trust, and research   to cure macular degeneration and hearing loss.  A burial service by Father Vladimir Horoszczak of Saint Mary's Holy Assumption Russian Orthodox Church will be held at the Chapel at Ferncliff Cemetery 28 Secor Rd Hartsdale, NY on Thursday, May 11, 2017.
A special thank you for the wonderful care which was given to Ann over the last few years by the caring staff of Home Care Assistance of Southern Fairfield County and for all the support from  friends and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Bartlett Arboretum for the Conifer Garden Expansion at 151 Brookdale Road, Stamford CT 06903.
