I remember Ray from the 1980s when I toiled in supporting roles at the Ethel Kweskin Barn Theater in Stamford. He was a nice guy with no ego. It's gratifying to see that he had a very long and productive life.

I was fortunate enough to have seen Ray sing at many of our Karaoke shows, going back over 20 years to many memorable nights at the Showboat in Greenwich. He and Cleo always brought a smile to my face when they entered the room. Ray was 'Frank Sinatra' in every sense, even to the delayed phrasing that made Frank, and Ray, so musically unique. Watching Ray and Cleo dance was like watching Fred and Ginger - so elegant in their movements. Their mutual love and affection was always on display, and a joy to behold. Ray will be missed, but long remembered. My sincere condolences to Cleo and the family. R.I.P. Ray

To Cleo and the rest of the Ridberg and Garst family:
So sorry to hear about the passing of Ray.
He was a wonderful man and he had an encyclopedia of knowledge about every subject. I bet he's already arguing with some of the Saints!
My deepest condolences go out to you all.

I first met Mr Garst when he was helping his Son with his Auto performance business. He came across as someone that reminded me of my own Father. He was a true representation of the greatest generation. He lived his life to take care of the people he loved, but still found time to dance and sing. Lynn and Ray and your children, I have no doubt that as he looks down on all of you, he rests in peace and pride with the legacy that he has left to this World.
