Obituary of Milton Schottenfeld

Milton Schottenfeld, 90, of Chappaqua NY, died Thursday, December 26th. Born in Newark NJ on April 23, 1923 to Abraham and Violet Schottenfeld, Milton attended Weequahic High School. He attended Univ of North Carolina and Columbia University and proudly served in the Navy during WWII, achieving rank of Lieutenant J.G. Milton achieved great success as president of Dean Floor Covering, a chain of retail stores in the tri-state area. Most importantly, Milton was a deeply devoted father and grandfather, spending many happy times with his family in Jupiter FL and Quechee, VT. He is survived by two children, Steven Schottenfeld of Chappaqua, NY, Barbara Schottenfeld of Weston, CT, daughter-in-law, Terri Schottenfeld, son-in-law, Paul Bogaev, and grandchildren Cali, Bradley, Lara, Brent, Keith, Daniel, Michael, & Thomas. Lovingly remembered for his sharp wit, warmth, generosity and zest for life, he will be greatly missed. The funeral is under the direction of Thomas M Gallagher Funeral Home and the service will take place Sunday, December 29th at 10:30 AM. at JL Apter Memorial Chapel 486 Pompton Ave Cedar Grove, NJ (973)239-4200 Internment will follow at B'nai Abraham Memorial Cemetery in Union NJ.
