Obituary of Maureen Linnane Bujdud

Maureen Linnane Bujdud passed away on November 23, 2013. Maureen was born January 24, 1938 in the Bronx, New York. She is survived by her children; Attorney Christian W. Bujdud of Easton, Attorney Dennis J. Bujdud of Stamford, and Maureen P. Bujdud of Stamford. She is survived by her brother Michael F. Linnane, two daughters-in-law Joann M. Bujdud and Jessica J. Bujdud, a son-in-law David L. Gerstner and three grandchildren Christian A. Bujdud, Grace C. Bujdud and Maggie Lynn Bujdud. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Christian M. Bujdud, her son Michael D. Bujdud, her sister Winifred L. Hunt and her brother John P. Linnane. Maureen received her Degree in Nursing from Grasslands Hospital in Valhalla, New York where she became head nurse in pediatrics. Upon moving to Stamford with her husband Christian, she worked along side him as his nurse in his medical practice for the next thirty years. During that time she also raised her family. Maureen loved life and dedicated her's to her family. To say Maureen was creative is an understatement, she spent her days cooking and crafting. If you were fortunate enough to know her then you were fortunate enough to be the recipient of a special handmade gift - a knitted sweater or scarf, a hand sewn holiday decoration or a decadent dessert. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren whom she instilled good values, played games, shared family stories and traditions and most importantly always a sweet treat on the sly. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 4-7 pm at Shippan's Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave., Stamford, CT. A Catholic Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at St. Leo's Church, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangement under the direction of Thomas M.
