Obituary of Kevin M. Curran

Kevin Curran, 67, of Stamford, passed away Sunday Nov. 17. He was born to the late Morgan and Margaret Curran, Aug. 31, 1946 in Co. Cork, Ireland. He spent his childhood in Barna, Co. Galway, Ireland where he enjoyed playing Irish football and was captain and manager to the Barna GAA club; a local Irish football association. He came to the US in 1965 to pursue work and to join his brother and sister in New York. Later in life he worked as a bartender and enjoyed golfing in his spare time. He was a man who loved his family with all his heart and is survived by his loving wife Sheila Curran, of Stamford; his son Keir Curran, of Stamford; his son Craig Curran, of NY; his son Morgan Curran, of Stamford; his son Bradleah Curran, of Stamford; and his daughter Amanda Curran, of Stamford. He is also survived by his 4 beautiful granddaughters; his brother Thomas Curran, of AZ; his sister Rena Kiernan, of NY; and his brother Morgan Curran, of NY. A viewing will be held at Shippan's Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home (same facility as the Bosak Funeral Home) 453 Shippan Ave in Stamford, on Wednesday Nov. 20th from 4 pm to 8 pm. A ceremony will be held at the funeral home on Thursday Nov. 21, at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
