Obituary of Rita Sue Losh

Rita Sue Losh, age 82, of Stamford, Connecticut, passed away on November 8, 2023. Rita was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She was a creative, kind, and loving woman who had a deep love for the beach and was dedicated to her family.

Born on May 11, 1941, in Queens, New York, Rita was the daughter of Jack and Lucille Greenberg, both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Alice Einhorn, her daughters Sharon Vocatura (Peter Vocatura) and Julie Rocco (Daniel Rocco), as well as her grandsons Michael, Joel, and Adam Portnoy.

Rita had a successful career as a Stamford Teacher at Westover School for over 30 years. She held a master's degree and a 6th-year certificate in education. Outside of her professional life, Rita had a variety of hobbies that brought her joy. She was a talented photographer, painter, quilter, and had a passion for arts and crafts, needlepoint, and dancing. She also had a deep appreciation for lighthouses and the colonial era.

Funeral services for Rita will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 11 am at Temple Beth El 350 Roxbury Rd Stamford, CT.  Burial will follow at Beth El Cemetery.
