Obituary of Anthony C. Tedesco

Anthony (Tony) C. Tedesco, 51, of Stamford, CT, passed away on September 22, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones after a long battle with cancer.

He was born on February 23, 1972 to Anthony F. Tedesco and Sandra S. Tedesco of Stamford, CT.  After graduating from J.M. Wright Technical Vocational School in Stamford, Tony went on to start his career as a Freight Derivatives Trader for ACT.  In addition to trading, in 2017 he began working at the Town Clerks Office for the City of Stamford.

Tony married his high school sweetheart, Deanna Raus Tedesco in 1999 and in 2000, Tony and Deanna welcomed their first son, Tony. Three years later their family was complete when their second son, Jared, was born. For Tony, his family was his life. Everything he did, he did for Deanna and his boys.

An avid golfer with a beautiful golf swing, Tony was the envy of many of his fellow golfers. He was a member of a very small and exclusive club of golfers that have won all three city of Stamford majors: The Sterling Farms Club Championship, Hubbard Heights Club Championship, and Stamford City Amateur Golf Championship. He also served as the treasurer of the Hubbard Heights Men’s club and was a member of the City of Stamford Golf Commission.

Tony was an extremely humble person who always had a smile on his face and an infectious laugh. He loved  bringing his family together by cooking up amazing meals both in the kitchen and on the grill. During all of his treatments he never once complained about his illness and always maintained a positive outlook.

He was predeceased by his father Anthony F. Tedesco, paternal grandparents Ned & Mildred Tedesco, and maternal grandfather Charles Elliott. He is survived by his adoring wife, Deanna, loving sons Tony and Jared, mother Sandra Tedesco, grandmother, Gloria Elliott, his sisters Laura Hughes and Debbie Franco, his parents in-law Angelo & Fernanda Raus, brothers & sisters-in-laws Tina & Doug Ward, Daniela & Alan Hernandez, Paul Franco and Frank Hughes, nieces and nephews, Anthony & Christopher Franco, Lexi Hughes, Bree and Kayla Ward, Chiada & Benicio Hernandez and many lifelong friends and golf buddies. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

A memorial service will be held at Noroton Presbyterian Church, 2011 Post Road, Darien, CT on Saturday September 30th at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Project Purple, a non profit organization empowering the fight against pancreatic cancer
