Obituary of Patricia A. Rief

Stamford, CT - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Rief, a cherished military spouse and loving mother of five, who left us on Thursday, July 27. She departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and selflessness that will forever be etched in the hearts of all who knew her.

Born on January 6th, 1938, Patricia lived a life filled with compassion, dedication, and unwavering support for her family and community. Her life was intertwined with the military, and she embraced the challenges and sacrifices that came with being a devoted military spouse. Throughout her journey, she stood steadfastly by her partner's side, providing tireless support during deployments and relocations, and ensuring that her family remained a source of strength and comfort.

As a mother, Pat radiated love and kindness, nurturing each of her five children with boundless affection and guidance. Her home was a haven of warmth and understanding, where laughter and love were ever-present. She instilled in her children the values of loyalty, empathy, and respect, teaching them the importance of embracing diversity and cherishing the bonds of family. Her compassionate spirit touched countless lives, and she will be remembered as a pillar of strength and a beacon of hope to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Her hobbies and interests spanned a wide range, from cooking hearty meals for her loved ones to sewing all the kid’s matching outfits. She found solace in the embrace of nature, and her love for gardening reflected her ability to nurture and cultivate beauty in all aspects of her life.

As we bid farewell to this remarkable soul, we take comfort in the knowledge that Pat's legacy will endure through her children, grandchildren, and the lives she touched. She will forever be remembered for her boundless love, her unwavering commitment to her family and community, and her unyielding spirit.

Pat was preceded by her devoted spouse, Jack, and loving daughter Denise, and survived by her four beloved children: Jack, Mike, Darren, Karen. She leaves behind a host of cherished relatives, friends, and community members, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts.
