Obituary of Cynara M. Walters

Cynara (Cy) Walters passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side, on May 5, 2023 at Wilton Meadows Nursing home. 

Born in Stamford CT on January 20, 1952. She attended Stamford public schools and graduated from Pratt institute and J.M. Wright School of Nursing. Cynara was a wonderful and dedicated nurse.  She worked at Norwalk hospital and Wavney Care Center. She was loved by all her patients and fellow nurses. Cynara is survived by her daughter, Kelley Lombardo, of Stamford, who she loved dearly.  Her grandchildren, Mason and Norah Lombardo, of Stamford and Brian and Charlie Smith, of Stamford. Her sister Debbe Goodwin, of Australia. Her step-mother Karna Misevic of Rhode Island. Cynara is preceded in death by her daughter, Tennille Walters and her mother, Barbara Whitman, both of Stamford. Her father, Martin Misevic of Rhode Island. 

Cynara will be remembered for her love for her daughters, Kelley and Tennille. 

In memory of Cy a Visitation will be held on Sunday July 30, 2023 from 5pm - 7pm, with a prayer service starting at 6pm at Thomas Gallagher Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to share their memories and support each other during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to RVNA health. RVNA Hospice provided beautiful and caring support to Cy in her last few month.
