Obituary of Barbara E. Eilertsen

Barbara Elizabeth Eilertsen, 88, of Stamford, CT passed away in the early morning of Thursday June 29, 2023. 

Born October 8, 1934 in Stamford, CT. She was the oldest daughter of the late Michael Mackewicz Sr. and Mary Sienkiewicz. 

She was predeceased by her husband Glenn A. Eilertsen, son Gary Eilertsen, sister Irene Rose of Stamford, and brother Michael Mackewicz of Lebanon, CT.

She is survived by daughter Diane Holtz of Stamford, Robert Eilertsen and wife Michele of Darien, son Edward Eilertsen of Stamford, and daughter Patricia Krom and husband Charles Krom of Stamford. Her sister Lillian Kulis of Stamford, brother Edward Mackewicz and wife Barbara of Bedford, TX andsister-in-law Karen Mackewicz of Lebanon, CT.

Barbara also known as Nannie, is survived by her six loving grandchildren. Robert Eilertsen, Christopher Eilertsen and fiancé Jessica Lupinacci, Stephen and Danielle Eilertsen, Samantha Krom, Marissa Krom and Diego Imbrogno, Ashley Krom, and great grand children Jaime and Elena Imbrogno, as well as many nephews.

Barbara loved all of her family very much, her favorite saying, “How’s everyone at home? Tell everyone I said hello.” She enjoyed spending time at the over sixty club in Stamford, watching old movies that made her laugh, and singing along to musicals from the 40’s.
