Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was their biggest fan and supporter.

She was a member of St. Cecilia Parish and the Springdale Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She and her husband were foster parents with Catholic Charities. Together, they fostered many newborn babies awaiting to go to their adoptive homes. She formed a special bond with each child and the families they were adopted into.

Rose's greatest roles in life were that of a devoted wife, a caring mother, and “Nee Nee” to her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Rose was predeceased by her brother, Michael Calabrese, and an infant sister. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bruce Vukson of New Canaan, her daughters Linda Kuehn (Mark) and Patty Lefort (Lou) of Stamford.
