She is also predeceased by her first husband Robert R. Pease, and later by her second husband John “Jay” Bender.

She is survived by her children Randall Pease (Lucy), Phillip Pease (Nikki), Melinda Walimaa (Michael), Tucker Pease (Katherine) and her stepchildren Anne Occi and Jace Bender (Cathy). She was “Nana” to 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren with two more on the way. She loved her many wonderful nieces and nephews. Her friends were dear and countless. She raised her family in Yorktown Heights, NY and Stamford, CT. She then moved to Naples, Florida to enjoy the warmth and sunshine.

Edwina passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family. She was a gracious, loving and generous person. In addition to being a wife and mother, she had a 15-year career with General Electric as a Tax Examination Specialist in Stamford. She served as Eucharistic Minister for many years at St. Gabriel’s Roman catholic Church. She volunteered with multiple organizations in Stamford, such as Meals on Wheels, Birthright, FISH (Feel I Should Help), and then loved sharing her time as a “Baby Cuddler” in the NICU at Naples Central Hospital in Florida. Edwina was great with numbers, as seen in career and by her many friends around the bridge table. She also loved building puzzles, gardening, bird watching and travel.

Edwina will be missed dearly, but her kind heart lives on in those she touched.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Stamford, CT at St. Gabriel’s Church on Newfield Avenue on May 13, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.

In addition, a Memorial Mass will be held on June 7,2023 at Noon in Naples, FL at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Avenue, N. Naples, FL 34108.

In lieu of flowers, consider donating to one of the organizations that Edwina volunteered with while on this earth. It would make her smile.
